Our team of Landscape Architects and Ecologists have a particular expertise in this sector as well as an in-depth understanding of the needs and challenges facing local authorities. We provide comprehensive expertise for all stages of the planning process; advising the Local Planning team of landscape and ecology matters and recommendations from pre-application through to planning conditions. Our expertise includes providing advice on Landscape and Visual Impact Assessments (LVIA) through to Ecological Impact Assessments (ECIA). It also includes attending meetings with developers and Development Management Committees and holding planning surgeries and training for officers and members.
Regular contact with planners and support staff in the LPA offices has built relationships which ensure any concerns are dealt with promptly and effectively to embed solutions and avoid delays. Attending meetings with or contacting agents or applicants has supported submission of adequate documents to streamline the process and unblock problems identified by consultees, Councillors or planners.
