City of London chose Place Services to undertake quinqennial inspections of key archaeological sites within Epping Forest, including the Iron Age hillforts at Loughton Camp and Ambresbury Banks, and the Purlieu Bank, a medieval forest boundary earthwork.
Visual inspections of each of the sites were completed, including GPS mapping of erosion, vegetation cover, animal burrowing and other forms of damage. Fixed-point photography was utilised to enable long-term monitoring of change.
