Place Services - Who We Are

Ceri joined Place Services in July 2024 as a Technical Assistant within the Historic Environment team. Her role is to support the effective delivery of services by assisting with the production of reports and materials, practice administration, finance, and communications. She also assists with the administration of our programme of traditional building skills and conservation courses.

Ceri first started working for Essex County Council after graduating with a BA in Classics from Durham University. She has previously worked within the Business Support department, providing administrative support to the Children & Families function, which has fuelled her drive to contribute to better outcomes for the community.

Recognising the importance of environmental awareness, Ceri achieved Carbon Literacy certification in 2023. She has a keen interest in history and is looking forward to learning more about how heritage assets impact and are impacted by our daily lives as she develops with Place Services.
