David joined Place Services as a built heritage consultant after working for a decade as a buildings archaeologist in the commercial sector. He has experience in the analysis, assessment and interpretation of a wide range of buildings including Grade I and II listed buildings, industrial sites and structures ranging in date from the Roman and medieval eras to the late 20th century. He has also worked on built heritage projects for large infrastructure projects and major conservation projects for the National Trust. David has also written numerous articles and publications on buildings archaeology.
As a Built Heritage Consultant at Place Services David continues to undertake archaeological building recording projects while also providing Historic Building and Conservation advice to Basildon and Thurrock.
