Emma Sharp


Emma joined the Place Services team from the private sector in November 2023. She has 15 years experienced in the heritage sector, ranging from practical building conservation to heritage planning practice throughout the UK. Emma brings wide-ranging experience of undertaking assessments of large-scale housing, commercial, and tall buildings schemes in addition to development management advice for Grade II to Grade I listed buildings and within Conservation Areas.

Emma has a MSc in Historic Conservation from Oxford Brookes University, Post-Graduate Certificate in Urban Design from the University of Westminster, and degree in History of Art from the University of Manchester. She is a full member of the Institute of Historic Building Conservation and chair’s the East Anglia branch committee.

Emma co-leads the Built Heritage team with Maria Kitts.
