Jon has a wealth of experience in planning policy having undertaken Strategic Environmental Assessments (SEA) and Sustainability Appraisals (SA) on behalf of Essex Districts and Boroughs and in-house since 2005 with the environmental, economic and social issues that includes, often surrounding contentious decisions.

This has included leading on the SA/SEA of Core Strategies, Site Allocations and Development Management Plans and Local Plans. Jon manages the workload of Place Service’s SA/SEA and planning functions incorporating:

District level planning documents;
Minerals local plans;
Waste local plans;
Flood Risk Management Strategies;
Local transport plans;
Specialist spatial and district planning advice; and
SA/SEA advice.
