Megan joined Place Services in January 2018 as a Junior Historic Environment Consultant, before becoming Historic Environment Consultant in October 2019. She completed her MA degree in Landscape History at the University of East Anglia, where she specialised in post-medieval East Anglian landscapes and GIS.
Megan has key experience in the practice of landscape history, delivering a variety of project work for public and private sector clients to provide informed historic landscape advice and assessments. She has extensive experience in: compiling character area assessments, conservation area appraisals, conservation management plans, heritage statements, building recording, local lists, and desk based assessments.
Megan also coordinates Place Services’ Conservation Course syllabus, volunteers with the Essex Gardens Trust, and in 2021 completed an MA in Heritage Interpretation with the University of Leicester.
She is a Full Member of the Chartered Institute for Archaeologists.
