Sam is an Urban Designer with 5 years’ experience within Urban Design, Hydrology and Sustainable Drainage Design. He has previous experience working at environmental consultancy practices. Sam developed an interest in Urban Design and completed an Urban Design MA at the University of Westminster in 2018.
Sam joined Place Services in June 2020 as an Urban Design Consultant working within the Built Environment team. As part of his role Sam is working with the Active Essex team providing Urban Design advice for a Sport England pilot scheme focusing on improving levels of physical activity in Essex.
As a result of his hydrological background, Sam has a strong interest in linking in the benefits of blue and green spaces with urban design. Sam is a member of the Urban Design group and is working towards becoming a recognised practitioner.
