Sarah Coupat


Sarah is a Landscape Architect with over 30 years’ experience.  After studying landscape architecture in the UK, Sarah started her professional career in landscape consultancy at Chris Blandford Associates, East Sussex, followed by a period of years working abroad in France as landscape designer.

Since her return to the UK she became Landscape Officer for Huntingdon District Council within the Planning Team, as well as working on capital projects with Highways delivering a number of public realm projects; a return to private architectural practice for a number of years in a design role before joining Place Services, Essex County Council as Senior Landscape Architect. She is an active member of the Landscape Institute and a Chartered Member of the Landscape Institute.

She is currently responsible for responding to service level agreements with various local authorities in and outside Essex delivering responses to pre-applications, outline and full applications on landscape-related issues. She is providing design input into multi-functional SUDs schemes with County Engineers’ Flood Captial Programme. Sarah integrates with the with Urban Design teams in delivering visions for new housing and commercial developments.
