Seren joined Places Services in January 2020 as an Assistant Built Heritage Consultant, progressing to Built Heritage Consultant in June 2022. She gained a bachelor’s degree in History at the University of Plymouth going on to complete her MSc in Historic Building Conservation at the University of Bath. During her master’s degree, Seren studied the theory and practice of preserving historic architecture and cultural heritage sites in one of the world's most culturally significant cities.
Her dissertation explored the use of historic building conservation in urban regeneration and town development as she has a keen interest in how we can manage our heritage through the built environment.
