Seth Lambiase joined Place Services as a Principal Ecological Consultant in January 2024, from Norfolk Wildlife Trust where he was a consultancy manager and principal ecologist.
He has six years of experience as an environmental biologist in the USA, followed by over 16 years as a consultant ecologist in the UK. Seth received an undergraduate degree from the Pennsylvania State University (Biology) and Masters degrees from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (Ecology) and the University of East Anglia (Environmental Impact Assessment, Auditing and Management Systems). He is a Full member of the Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management and the Association of Environmental Clerks of Works.
Seth has substantial consultancy knowledge and experience, and a broad span of survey capability. He has particular experience with bats but also with great crested newts, reptiles, barn owls, water voles and badgers, and holds relevant survey licenses for bats and great crested newts. Seth has held a wide range of bat roost mitigation licences, is a Registered Consultant under Natural England’s low-impact bat mitigation licensing scheme, and is a founding member of the Norfolk Small Myotis Study Group.
He has extensive experience of ecological impact assessments, shadow Habitat Regulations Assessments and protected species mitigation licensing. Seth maintains a robust knowledge of applicable environmental legislation and survey guidelines, and is proficient with project management and quality control.
